3rd Transnational meeting in SOFIA, BULGARIA

A Press – Conference and event to raise awareness and stimulate participation in BAS project activities “Benefit-As-You-Recycle” took place including:
- Welcome speech by Yordanka Fandakova – Mayor of Sofia Municipality
- Presentation of project “Benefit As you Save – BAS” – Deputy Mayor of Environment, Sofia Municipality – Ioana Hristova.
- Bulky waste, presentation by Petar Traykov, Director of Waste Management Directorate, Sofia Municpality. Control on domestic tires disposal and motor oil treatment, implemented by Sofia Municipality Inspectorate – Mrs. Veska Georgieva, Director.
- Textile waste, presentation by Zheleva, „Evrotex“ Ltd.
- Good practices in collecting WEEE in Sofia Municipality, presentation by Bakalov, Executive Director of “ELTECHRESURS” Ltd.
- Good practices and results achieved in WEEE recycling, presentation by Dragomiretcki, Executive Director of “ECOBULTEH” Ltd.
- Household Hazardous Waste – presentation by Mrs. Ralitsa Angelova, Executive Director of BalBok Engineering Co.
- End of Life Vehicles (ELV) – presentation of Good practice of district Nadejda, Mr. Dimitar Dimov, Mayor of Nadejda.
- Food and green waste, Mr. Slavi Asparuhov, Director of Municipal Enterprise for Waste Treatment.
Then a Steering Committee meeting took place
Participants also visited Sofia Municipality Biological Treatment Plant “Khan

The 3rd transnational workshop took place about Implementation of local BAS plans. Each partner presented actual situation and next steps.
